What?

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Please come prepared with any schedule conflicts from late August through October. Head shots and acting resumes are not required, but are always welcome. Click here for more information on the performances.

'Larceny and Old Lace' is characterized as a spoof of 'Arsenic and Old Lace', but can easily be thought of as almost an homage to the classic play. It reads and plays almost like the original show. Fans of 'Arsenic' will recognize similar themes, characters and such, but will enjoy the twists that this play brings to light. For those new to the play, it stands quite well on its own as a light and fun comedy.

Cast?

Cast requirements - Flexible casting - 16 roles (generally 8 men, 8 women). Some roles can be doubled-up or cast as either.

  •     HAROLD - Good-hearted but unsuspecting nephew of Millie and Gertie

  •     CHARLIE - Harold's uncle who has a "different" view of things

  •     GERTIE - Harold's sweet aunt with an unusual hobby

  •     MORDRED - His sinister, black-hearted, thieving cousin

  •     LESTER - Mordred's sinister, black-hearted, thieving but reluctant sidekick
