The Wizard of Oz” a Success!

ACT Orchid Awards were handed out June 26th during the ACT Awards dinner.  For those not familiar with Orchid awards, we had three judges at our show.  If there are two nominations for a category, then the group receives an award.  With that said, our winners are:

Excellence in Producing Linda Roll, Excellence in Direction Shannon Casey and Leslie Brinkman, Excellence in Acting Toto Conner and Victoria Margroum, Excellence in Sound Design, David Budke, Excellence in Sound Execution David Budke, Excellence in Make- Up MTG

Here is a list of what MTG was nominated for:

Excellence in Musical Direction (Irina Hall), Excellence in Orchestra, Excellence in Vocal Direction, Excellence in Set Construction, Excellence in Lighting Design (Terri Wilson), Excellence in Stage Management/Scene Change, Excellence in Use of Chorus/Minor Characters, Excellence in Costumes for Tin Man (Dan Stacey), Excellence in Backstage, Excellence in Costumes, Excellence in Choreography and Excellence in Acting nominations for Chris Schoonover, Jon Vader, Annie King, Charles Russell.

The Wizard of Oz was a very successful show.  Congratulations to all of the cast and crew for their hard work.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!

Kudos to the following MTG members that received Orchid Awards for shows outside of MTG.

What a Great Day for a Parade!

MTG members participated in the Milford Frontier Days Parade on June 3rd.  We had the largest group that ever participated in the event.  It’s a chance for us to get out into the community and get some much needed exposure.  The event was shown live on ICRC, then shown again in rebroadcasts.

A big thank you goes out to the members that marched in the parade:

Charles Russell, Annie King, Lori Rensing, Martha Tillson, Ryan Vaughan, the Listo sisters, the Roll, Bird, Robbins, Haskamp, Luthman, Minney, and Ashworth families.

One Last Look…

Let’s hope that our shows for the 2004-2005 season will be as great!  Watch for announcements about our next season.
